G'Day and welcome to Karma Dives

My passion has always been with the water.

I completed my PADI Open Water Course in Melbourne, in August 2011. Even though the waters were freezing, I was so excited to be under the water instead of riding waves on top. After achieving my certification, I went straight into the PADI Advanced Open Water Course and was hooked instantly. My next course came only a few months later when I was Volunteering in Madagascar. I completed my Rescue Course and moved onto to become a Divemaster. During this course I was already searching places to become an instructor and haven’t looked back since. I worked for Ocean Divers as a Divemaster for a few month before heading to Malapascua Phillipines to get my PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) certification. Returning to Melbourne, I continued to work as a OWSI at Ocean Divers under the guidance of Jane Bowman and Warrick McDonald. My next Instructing adventure was in Bali where I worked at Nautilus Diving Bali located in Seminyak. Our most common dive site was the USAT Liberty Wreck in Tulumben. After my 9 month stint here I achieved an Elite Instructor Award for certifying over 50 students in the year, this also allowed me to go to the next level as a PADI Master Scuba Dive Trainer.

Next came 6 weeks on the beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan off the South East coast of Bali. I trained out of Blue Corner Dive adding a few more specialty instructor certifications as well as becoming an PADI IDC Staff Instructor allowing me to assist PADI Course Directors in training new Instructors.

Last year I found a new underwater passion in Freediving. The tranquility of this sport is like no other I have tried. The Freediving training focusses on the development of mental strength and certainly encourages you to get to know your body, which really is an amazing feeling. I went on to become a SSI Freediving Instructor after completing a Zero to Hero Freediving Course through Freedive Gili on Gili Trawangan Indonesia. I then transferred my SSI certification across to PADI as a PADI Freedive Instructor

I look forward to sharing my passion and love of the underwater world with you. Check out our courses.
